Cornwall Law Society Awards 2025 Penderlaw Team

Penderlaw’s triple win at Cornwall Law Society Awards

We’re absolutely thrilled that both Tegan Pownall and Alice Vage won awards at this year’s Cornwall Law Society Awards!

Cornwall Law Society’s prestigious annual awards ceremony took place on Friday, 13th June at Truro Cathedral. The ceremony is a glamourous black-tie occasion, bringing together lawyers from all over the county and a chance to celebrate achievement in the profession.

Following on from last year’s success where we won Small Firm of the Year and the Judges’ Award, this year we were delighted to win not two but three awards!   Private Client Solicitor Alice Vage won Junior Lawyer of the Year, as well as the President’s Award, whilst Family Law Solicitor Tegan Pownall took home Family Lawyer of the Year.

The Cornwall Law Society awards this year were centred around the theme of “Equality Diversity and Inclusion” with the society’s charity of the year, Cornwall Pride. Special guests Ginger and Roxie Moron, two fabulous local drag queens, compered the evening in their own inimitable style in the beautiful setting of Truro Cathedral which was spectacularly and appropriately lit in rainbow colours in celebration of the event’s association with Cornwall Pride.

Robin Pender, Principal Solicitor and Director of Penderlaw Solicitors said “We are all so pleased for Alice and Tegan.  Their success is well deserved, and the awards they have won are not only testament to their dedication and hard work, but also proof of the success of our firm’s ethos of nurturing and growing our own talent. Both Alice and Tegan were born and raised in Cornwall and initially undertook work experience with the firm, before going on to develop their careers with Penderlaw.”
