Unexpected E-mail from Penderlaw Solicitors?

If you have received an e-mail regarding an invoice you don’t recognise, please contact us and report it on 01872 241408. Please do not click on any links on such emails.

Our in-house security has not been compromised, but unfortunately it has come to our attention that phishing emails with invoices attached have been sent appearing to be from us. We are currently working on tracing the source of these and have reported the issue to the relevant authorities. An indication that these emails are not genuine is that they are sent from penderlawgroup.co.uk rather than from penderlaw.co.uk.

As the use of remote working has increased among professional services, the opportunities for cybercriminals has increased, and has accelerated still further during the pandemic.

An example of such activity is the hacking of email accounts from online providers such as Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo.  We always recommend changing email password on a regular basis to maximise security and avoid leaving email accounts vulnerable to account hacks.
